Intelligent Mobility, Collaborative Innovation: Industry-Education Integration Bootcamp 2026 for Future Intelligent Mobility in the Yangtze River Delta Successfully Held

2026-07-31

Held from July 30 to 31, the "Yangtze River Delta Future Intelligent Mobility Industry-Education Integration Bootcamp" was hosted by Zhejiang Intelligent Connected Vehicle Innovation Center and undertaken by TEEMO at TEEMO’s Unmanned Vehicle Intelligent Manufacturing Base. Bringing together universities and industry experts across the Yangtze River Delta region, the event built a communication bridge between enterprises and academic institutions to explore localized talent cultivation models for intelligent driving and consolidate the talent foundation for the development of intelligent connected vehicle education in China.

Opening Remarks: Building Consensus for Industry-Education Collaboration

On the first day of the event, Mr. Wang Zhifeng, Chief Strategy Officer of TEEMO, delivered an opening address. Centering on three core themes — industrial coordination of intelligent connected vehicles in the Yangtze River Delta, sharing of university-enterprise resources, and training of professional intelligent driving talents — he proposed that the bootcamp serve as a key link to bridge the gap between industrial practice and university teaching, and establish a long-term, regular university-enterprise cooperation platform.

Integrated Theoretical Learning and Hands-On Practice: Exploring Cutting-Edge Intelligent Driving Technologies

Disassembly Training of AutoBots-W1 Skateboard Chassis

Instructors delivered hands-on disassembly training on the skateboard chassis, demonstrating the core hardware structure of the drive-by-wire system and standard disassembly & assembly procedures step by step. They also introduced the advantages of the full drive-by-wire architecture and safety redundancy design. With physical hardware on display for visiting delegates, TEEMO showcased its technical strengths in drive-by-wire chassis, and discussed actionable plans for co-building university training equipment between enterprises and academia.

Special Presentation by University Professor

Professor Yang Aixi from Zhejiang University gave a keynote speech on the development of intelligent connected vehicle majors. Addressing common pain points including insufficient campus training resources, outdated teaching content and disconnect between academic curricula and industrial practice, he put forward practical solutions such as co-building training platforms, jointly developing courses and inviting industrial mentors to deliver on-campus lectures.

Live Demonstration of W1-Kit Multi-Platform Integrated Technology

Based on the W1-Kit development kit, instructors demonstrated the Apollo EDU open-source education framework, hands-on operations on the ROS2 development platform, and intelligent algorithm applications powered by large AI models. The system can fully support tiered teaching, scientific innovation training and technical research and development for universities.

July 31: Open-Source Platform & Hands-On Experience with Mass-Production-Grade Vehicles

Baidu Apollo Special Presentation

Lecturers from the Baidu Apollo team comprehensively unpacked the core strengths of the platform. Its mature open-source framework, robust algorithm system and rich supporting toolchain greatly lower the barrier to autonomous driving research and development. TEEMO’s autonomous driving development kits are fully compatible with the Baidu Apollo technology ecosystem. Leveraging hardware and software adaptation advantages, TEEMO builds standardized teaching and experimental platforms to empower university research, training and talent development for autonomous driving.

Outcomes Report & Live Vehicle Experience of NIO ET7-Kit

Built on the original vehicle architecture, the ET7-Kit serves as a standardized passenger-vehicle-grade intelligent driving verification platform equipped with complete development and debugging interfaces. Attendees were able to conduct hands-on tests on sensor fusion, algorithm deployment and full-vehicle closed-loop testing. It provides a real-world vehicle testing environment for intelligent driving enterprises and research institutes to iterate high-level autonomous driving technologies.

Joining Hands to Build a Hub of Intelligent Driving Talents in the Yangtze River Delta

During the bootcamp, universities and enterprises reached a number of consensus on industry-education cooperation: establishing regular exchange mechanisms among Yangtze River Delta universities, co-building on-campus training laboratories, jointly developing teaching resources and opening up internship channels connecting academia and industry.

This bootcamp marks a key initiative of TEEMO’s continuous efforts in advancing industry-education integration for intelligent connected vehicles. Going forward, the company will keep building university-enterprise collaboration platforms, refine the integrated practical training talent development system, cultivate high-caliber intelligent driving technicians, and create a replicable domestic model for intelligent driving education. TEEMO will support the standardization of intelligent connected vehicle education nationwide, actively share China’s industry-education integration solutions globally, and contribute to helping China’s intelligent transportation industry seize the global innovation high ground through solid actions.
