RIZHAO, China — August 11, 2026 — Themed activities marking the 17th National Day for People with Physical Disabilities were held at a venue operated by Zhongda Sports Industry Group in Rizhao, Shandong Province. Guided by the China Association of Persons with Physical Disabilities and organized by the Rizhao Association of Persons with Physical Disabilities, the event focused on advancing technology-enabled support for people with disabilities and exploring an integrated service model combining skills training, technological innovation, and employment support.
The event was attended by Lu Lin, Chairman of the China Association of Persons with Physical Disabilities, Liu Xianglong, Vice Mayor of Rizhao, and other government and industry representatives. More than 100 representatives from various sectors across the city participated in the event.
At the event, the dedicated autonomous vehicle for people with physical disabilities, jointly developed and launched by TEEMO and Danian Technology, made its debut and became the highlight of the event’s technology-focused disability support section. The vehicle opens up a new pathway to employment and entrepreneurship for people with physical disabilities who have full upper-limb function.
Remote Operation Enables Employment Without Leaving Home
The autonomous vehicle for people with physical disabilities is supported by dedicated free skills training. Through the vehicle’s dedicated operation interface, trained participants can remotely carry out tasks such as vehicle dispatching and operational management. Without the need for physical travel, people with physical disabilities can engage in two types of employment:
First, participating in smart logistics services — providing autonomous vehicle dispatching and transportation services for autonomous delivery and logistics companies;
Widely Recognized: Technology-Enabled Disability Support Receives Strong Recognition
At the event, participating officials and guests spoke highly of the technology-enabled disability support equipment. Lu Lin, Chairman of the China Association of Persons with Physical Disabilities, expressed recognition of the innovative model of using technology to empower employment for people with disabilities, noting that the power of technology should be fully leveraged to expand employment opportunities for people with physical disabilities and promote greater integration between people with and without disabilities. Liu Xianglong, Vice Mayor of Rizhao, said that intelligent technologies should continue to be effectively utilized to address the difficulties and challenges faced by people with disabilities in employment and to further advance disability support services.
Xu Meifang, Chairwoman of Zhongda Sports Industry Group, said that the group will leverage the advantages of its venue platform and work with forces from all sectors of society to jointly support the development of disability assistance initiatives. Qi Meijian, Chairman of Danian Technology, and Tang Kaiqiang, Vice President of TEEMO, jointly introduced the development concept and implementation plan for the autonomous vending vehicle for people with physical disabilities, expressing the hope that technological innovation can create more practical and implementable employment opportunities for people with physical disabilities.
Deepening Efforts in Rizhao and Continuously Improving Disability Support Services
Going forward, TEEMO will continue to deepen technology-enabled disability support services in the Rizhao area together with Danian Technology, continuously optimizing vehicle functions and the training system, expanding diverse application scenarios including logistics and retail, and further improving the integrated disability support service model. These efforts will help more people with physical disabilities embrace emerging business models and achieve greater independence and self-reliance, while contributing corporate strength to the development of technology-enabled disability support in Rizhao.
